Virtual reality platform to provide physical, cognitive and nutritional support to hemodialysis patients

GoodRENal is a European project aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle habits in people with chronic kidney disease. Researchers from Sweden, Greece, Belgium and Spain are working on this project, which is funded by the European Erasmus+ program and the Spanish R&D&I Plan. GoodRENal consists of designing a virtual platform to be used during hemodialysis sessions to encourage patients to maintain these healthy habits while they are being treated.The GoodRENal project also includes the design of an e-learning platform with guides on physical activity habits, nutrition and psychological aspects, which are aimed at all those who influence the lifestyle of patients on hemodialysis treatment, from the people with chronic kidney disease themselves, to the healthcare professionals who care for them, their families and their caregivers.
