DESCRIPTION

The objective of this project is the development of a fully automatic artificial pancreas to improve the quality of life of these patients. ai2's research is focused on both unihormonal artificial pancreas systems, with a single insulin pump, and bihormonal systems, with an insulin pump and a glucagon pump. The group has developed several proprietary decision or control algorithms, which have been and continue to be validated in different scenarios, with the aim of improving control of ingestion and exercise with the least possible patient intervention.
