The digitization and automation of the intra-park logistics of the Juan Carlos I industrial park and its potential evolution from a business park to a smart, 5G networked park requires the introduction of a set of essential technologies that are leading innovation in products, services, processes, marketing, sales and business in the logistics, transportation, security, energy, trade and utilities sectors. These technologies, which converge in the technological ecosystem of the project, are:
- 5G Network
- Edge Computing
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Big Data
- Shared data spaces
- Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
- Cybersecurity and Robotics.
The main objective of the consortium is the realization of a pilot demonstrator of the logistics solution that allows the development of those technologies mentioned above and the validation of these up to TRL 6, considering as relevant environment the industrial park, using the current route from where finished product parts are dispatched from the Segura Group to the Ford Almussafes plant, using an autonomous transport service by public road that is currently carried out with trucks.
