PROJECT INFORMATION

DESCRIPTION

PROMOTioN's main focus is the development and demonstration of four key technologies: multi-vendor HVDC (high voltage direct current) network protection systems, HVDC network control systems, HVDC GIS (gas insulated switchgear) long life testing and HVDC switchgear full power testing. As a complement, a regulatory and financial framework will be developed for the coordinated planning, construction and operation of integrated maritime infrastructures, including a maritime network deployment plan (roadmap) for the future maritime network system in Europe.
