PROJECT INFORMATION

DESCRIPTION

The project proposes the generation of an innovative line of veterinary implants manufactured using additive technologies of titanium 3D printing. IMPLAVET will focus on the development and validation for market launch of two products: - Hip prosthesis for dogs, to improve the quality of life of animals affected by osteo-articular degenerative diseases of the hip; - Osteosynthesis plates adapted to the anatomical area of the animals; - Osteosynthesis plates adapted to the anatomical area of the animals; - Hip prosthesis for dogs, to improve the quality of life of animals affected by osteo-articular degenerative diseases of the hip.

Impact

Through the application of FA techniques and a specific methodology, the project aims to achieve the following objectives:Development of an information gathering, design and manufacturing process for the generation of new prostheses for dogs,Obtaining in any case optimized geometries that allow adaptation and compatibility with mini-invasive approaches. Application of the same methodology for the development of surgical instruments.
