PROJECT INFORMATION

DESCRIPTION

Minimizing contamination and the accumulation of microorganisms in the soles of sanitary footwear is the main objective of this project. Novel materials and methodologies such as the use of silver nanoparticles and the optimized design of soles with CAD tools and additive manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing will be used. In this way, 3 technologies will be merged in order to obtain a product with a high added value that also proposes a solution to one of the problems of the health sector: microbial contamination, an issue of great importance in sectors related to human health, which requires maximum rigor in the control systems used. To manufacture work footwear with effective antimicrobial properties, in order to create functional footwear with antimicrobial sole materials through the incorporation of silver nanoparticles that will provide an aseptic character from the outset with the aim of avoiding cross-contamination in the healthcare industry.
