Cloud-based computer system for product customization applied to the toy industry
AVI
The main objective of the project is to exploit the results of the research carried out in the different projects that have allowed the development of technology applicable to the production processes of the companies. In this case, they will be applied to the toy sector in order to valorize these results while transferring the technology and knowledge acquired to the companies of the sector. Specifically, this knowledge will be used in order to adapt a web platform for combining materials in footwear models for use in the toy sector, thus allowing the rapid selection and realistic visualization of the materials to be used in the different samples. The possibilities offered by a tool of this type can enable the toy industry to meet the needs of an increasingly demanding market, whose tendency is inclined to be interested in products that adapt to the user and not the other way around, as was the case until now. In addition, a wide range of business possibilities are opening up around web technologies, not only for online sales, but also as a powerful system for rapid prototyping and decision making, virtual catalogs, marketing, trend analysis and an endless number of applications that will make it possible to take greater advantage of information and communication technologies (ICT) to improve the competitiveness and strength of companies in the sector.
